As a self taught artist, my work is rooted in an interest in the human experience and the complicated nature of our inner lives. Through painting and drawing, I explore the ways grief, memory, solitude and uncertainty shape how we experience ourselves and the world around us.

Working intuitively, I create figures and spaces that exist somewhere between the familiar and the unfamiliar. My paintings are less concerned with telling a particular story than with capturing a feeling — the things we carry, the things we lose, and the parts of ourselves we struggle to understand.
